Find 18 th and 19 th century European items at this spot with over 50 dealers in The Gathering. When you need a cup of tea, there is an on site picturesque café available.

The Shops at West End MarketPlace are in three adjoining buildings projecting an early 1900s feel with brick-lined street, Victorian street lamps, and horse-drawn carriages. (Nearby hotels include Amerisuites West End and Hampton Inn West Inn .)

Located near the West End and its hotels is the five-building Dallas Market Center , the world's largest wholesale trade center at 69 million square feet that is in the Guinness Book of World Records . Products range from furnishings, lighting, and gourmet items to apparel, fashion accessories, and textiles to help retailers grow their businesses. ( Candlewood Suites and Hawthorn Suites Market Center are three miles from the Market Center .)

Despite stories of Texans wearing 10-gallon hats and cowboy boots, you won't see too many folks wearing Western wear on a day-to-day basis. Western wear is in high season in late January when the rodeo and stock show is in action in Fort Worth . DFW is the ultimate destination for western wear shopping.

Texas boot companies Justin, Tony Lama, and Nokona produce machine and handmade boots from leathers and exotic skins. You'll find good deals on these boots. If you'd rather go all out, you can order custom-made boots.

Ask about getting the right fitted boots. Boot Town (multiple locations), the West End's Wild Bill's Western Store, Cavender's Boot City near the Galleria, and Western Warehouse (several locations) have first-rate selections. Fort Worth has Western wear stores huddled around the Stockyards.

Finding good deals is effortless with the many outlet centers available in the Metroplex including Grapevine Mills located near DFW airport, which has over 200 stores, a 30-screen movie theater, and restaurants a-plenty. Nature lovers who are in the neighborhood will want to drop by Bass Pro Shop, a mega outdoor retail store. ( Hyatt Regency DFW and Radisson Hotel DFW South are near.)

In Allen, a suburb northeast of Dallas , is Allen Premium Outlet with almost 100 stores. Allen is not far from Telecom Corridor where Omni Richardson , Best Western Telecom Suites , and Radisson Dallas Richardson hotels are located. Grand Prairie 's Trader's Village has over 120 acres and 2500 dealers selling their wares every weekend at this largest flea market in Texas .

From the turn of the century to the future and from outlet to extravagant, Dallas has a diversity of shopping waiting for you to explore.
